ORDINANCE NO. 85 - 11
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.04 OF THE
VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE MUNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a Home -Rule unit pursuant to
the Illinois State Constitution of 1970.
NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS, the following:
SECTION 1, Subsection I is hereby added to Section 10.04.030, Fees -
Designated, of the Village of Buffalo Grove Municipal Code as follows:
10.04.030 Fees - Designated
I. All passenger vehicles regardless of horsepower and all recreational
vehicles, eight dollars and seventy five cents annually if said
vehicle is registered to a person qualifying as handicapped under
Sections 3 -609 or 3 -616 of the Illinois Motor Vehicle Code (Chapter
952 Illinois State Statutes), as amended. Any person so qualified
shall be limited to one such license per year per registration.
Semiannual fee shall also be eight dollars and seventy five cents.
SECTION 2. Subsection H of Section 10.04.030, Fees- Designated, of the
Village of Buffalo Grove Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:
10.04.030 Fees - Designated
H. All passenger vehicles regardless of horsepower, all recreational
vehicles, and all trucks regardless of gross weight that are licensed
on or after January sixteenth of any year will be charged an additional
five dollars as a late purchase penalty. The assessment of this charge
will not apply to senior citizens, handicapped, purchases of new vehicles,
new resident or commercial entity purchases, or transfers from existing
registration at any time during the registration period.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and in approval in the manner provided by law and shall apply to vehicle
registration years beginning with the calendar, 1986 registration program.
