ORDINANCE NO. 84- 13
AN ORDINANCE VACATING WHEELING AVENUE
IN COLUMBIA GARDENS UNIT NO. 4
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a Home Rule Unit
pursuant to the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and
WHEREAS, Wheeling Avenue in Columbia Gardens Unit No. 4 is a
municipal right of way and is currently unimproved; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities have determined that the
nature and extent of the public use or public interest to be
subserved is such as to warrant the vacation of said Wheeling
Avenue and that the relief to the public from any burden and
responsibility of maintaining Wheeling Avenue constitutes a
public use or public interest authorizing said vacation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1. The following described Wheeling Avenue be and
hereby is vacated:
A public road right of way known as Wheeling
Avenue in Columbia Gardens Unit No. 4 being a
subdivision of a part of the Southeast 1/4
and a part of the East 1/2 of the Southwest
1/4 of Section 34, Township 13 North, Range
11, East of the Third Principal Meridian,
according to the plat thereof recorded as
Document No. 339091 in Lake County, Illinois
also described as the most Westerly 50.00
feet of said Columbia Gardens.
Section 2. A Plat of Vacation of said Wheeling Avenue is
attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A ".
Section 3. That title to said vacated Wheeling Avenue is
hereby declared to be vested in the owners of the land abutting
said Wheeling Avenue on its easterly border.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the affirmative vote of at
least three- fourths (3 /4ths) of the Village Trustees then holding

office. This ordinance shall not be codified.
