AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR REGULATION OF
STREETS and FIRE LANES IN VARIOUS SUBDI-
VISIONS and PLANNED DEVELOPMENTS
WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook and Lake Counties,
Illinois has provided for fire lanes in certain areas by Ordinance
Numbered 73 -46, 73 -53 (as amended by 77 -70) and 75 -44; and
WHEREAS, the Village has entered into Written Agreements with
the owners and /or developers of lands in the Village, which lands
are developed or being developed; and
WHEREAS, in said written agreements the owners and /or developers
have consented to the Fire Lane regulations contained herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES,
ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1. DEFINITION
For the purpose of this Ordinance the term Fire Lane shall
be deemed to be any street, driveway, roadway, accessway, or ease-
ment, whether paved or unpaved that is kept, maintained and /or in-
tended to provide ingress and egress for fire fighting vehicles
and equipment, to and from any building structure or fire hydrant
and designated as a Fire Lane.
SECTION 2. FIRE LANE DESIGNATION
Fire Lanes shall be designated as follows:
A. Grove Court Shopping Center. As shown on Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part hereof.
B. Country Court Shopping Center. As shown on Exhibit "B"
attached hereto and made a part hereof.
C. Buffalo Grove Striker Lanes. As shown on Exhibit "C"
attached hereto and made a part hereof.
D. Plaza Verde Shopping Center. As shown on Exhibit "D"
attached hereto and made a part hereof.
E. Cambridge Commons. As shown on Exhibit "E" attached here-
to and made a part hereof.

SECTION 3. SIGNS
Fire Lanes as designated herein shall be appropriately
posted by signs identifying their locations.
SECTION 4. PROHIBITION
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, corporation or
entity to block or obstruct wholly or partly any of the designated
Fire Lanes.
SECTION 5. SEVERABILITY
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of
this Ordinance or its application to any person or circumstance is
held invalid by the decision of any Court of Competent Jurisdiction,
the remainder of this Ordinance, or the application of the provision
to other persons of circumstances is in effect and shall remain in
full force and effect.
SECTION 6. PENALTY
Any person, firm, corporation or entity, violating any of
the provisions or failing to comply with any of the requirements
of this Ordinance is guilty of a misdemeanor. Any person convicted
of a misdemeanor under the ordinances of the Village shall be pun-
ished by a fine not to exceed $500.00. Each such person is guilty
of a separate offense for each and every day during any portion of
which any violation of any provision of this Ordinance is committed,
continued or permitted by any such person, and he is punishable
accordingly.
SECTION 7. EFFECTIVE DATE and PUBLICATION
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and publication according to law. This
ordinance may be published in pamphlet form.
