AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 76 -57 (DISPOSAL OF WASTE)
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois:
SECTION 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 76 -57 is hereby
repealed in its entirety and the following section enacted in lieu
thereof:

Section 2. Production of Waste or Garbage
The occupancy of any "premises" shall be prima
facie evidence that refuse is being produced
and accumulated on such premises and pickups
must be made. If the owner fails to remove the
refuse 24 hours after notice is visibly tacked
on the premises by the Village Health Department,
setting forth that the condition of the premises
which creates a health hazard as determined by
the Health Inspector, the Village may cause re-
moval of refuse from the property and the cost
of removal shall become a lien on the real estate
involved and the Village may recover the costs
thereof by appropriate court action.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance may be published in pamphlet
SECTION 3. Penalties
(a) Any person who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects
or refuses to comply with, or resists the enforcement of any of the
provisions of this Ordinance shall be fined not less than Ten Dollars
($10.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each offense.
Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a
separate offense.
(b) In the event a disposal firm violates any provisions
of any ordinance of this Village, the Village shall have the right,
in addition to enforcing the penalties otherwise provided, to revoke
the license of such waste disposal firm.

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
according to law.
