been in the process of considering a revision of existing garbage disposal
ordinance since June of 1975, and
WHEREAS, in consideration of public health, welfare and safety and the
interests of inhabitants of the Village, the corporate authorities deem it
advisable and in the best interests of the general public to limit the number
of scavenger licenses to be issued,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1. Sub - paragraph (a) of Section 8 of Ordinance No. 60 -11 as
amended is hereby repealed and the following Sub - paragraph (a) of Section 8 is
enacted in lieu thereof:
SECTION 8(a) No person, except as herein provided, shall
remove waste or garbage from any premises in the Village
or transport waste through the streets, alleys or public
