AN ORDINANCE VACATING EMERSON COURT AND
PENNY COURT
WHEREAS, Elementary School District #96 in Lake County,
Illinois, has acquired certain land for school purpose in
Strathmore Buffalo Grove Units 12 and 13, and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof Emerson Court and Penny
Court both cul de sacs are no longer necessary for public use
and upon vacation title will revert to the aforesaid School
District, and,
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have deter-
mined that the School District can make use of said street area
if vacated, and,
WHEREAS, they have also determined that the public inter-
est will be subserved by a vacation of said streets,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE
COUNTIES, ILLINOIS.
Section 1. Pursuant to the power granted the President
and Board of Trustees in Chapt. 24, Sections 11 -91.1 and 11.91.2
the following described streets are hereby declared vacated:
Parcel "A ": All of Penny Court in Strathmore in -
Buffalo Grove Unit #12, being a subdivision of part of
the W 1/2 of the SW1 /4 of Section 29, and the NW 1/4 of
the NW 1/4 of Section 32 all in township 43 North, Range
11 E of the 3rd Pi-M. more particularly described as
follows: Beginning at the SW corner of Lot 57 in Block
25 in Strathmore Buffalo Grove Unit #12 aforesaid, thence
North 890 55' 56" East along the North line of Penny Court: -

a distance of 298.01' to a point of curvature, thence
Northeasterly along the Southerly line of Lot 54 in said
Block 25 being an arc of a circle having a radius of 25'
being convex to the Southeast an arc distance of 18.69'
to a point of reversed curvature, thence Easterly, South-
erly, and Westerly along an arc of a circle having a ra-
dius of 50' being convex to the East an arc distance of
231.84' to a point of reversed curvature on the Norther-
ly line of Lot 49 in said Block' )thence Northwesterly
along the Northerly line of said Lot 49 being an arc of
a circle having a radius of 25' being convex to the North-
east an arc distance of 18.69' to a point of tangency,
thence South 89° 55' 56" West along the South line of
Penny Court a distance of 298.01' to the Northwest corner
of Lot 46 in said Block 25, thence North 0° 4' 04" West
a distance of 60' to the place of beginning in Lake
County, Illinois.
Parcel "B ": All of Emerson Court in Strathmore Buffalo
Grove Unit #13 being a subdivision.,of part of the NW
1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 32, Township 43 North,
Range 11 E of the 3rd P.M. more particularly described
as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot
22 in Block 25 in Strathmore Buffalo Grove Unit #13 as
aforesaid, thence South 89° 50' 50" West along the
South Line of Emerson Court a distance of 275.50' to a
point of curvature, thence Southwesterly along the North-
erly line of Lot 19 in said Block 25 being an arc of a
circle having a radius of 25' being convex to the North-
west an arc distance of 18.69' to a point of reversed
curvature, thence Westerly, Northerly, and Easterly
along an arc of a circle having a radius of 50' being
convex to the West an arc distance of 231.84' to a
point of reversed curvature on the Southerly line of
Lot 15 in said Block25, thence Southeasterly along the
Southerly line of said lot 15 being an arc of a circle
having a radius of 25' being convex to the Southwest an
arc distance of 18.69' to a point of tangency, thence
North 890 50' 50" East along the North line of Emerson
Court a distance 275.50' to the Southeast corner of Lot
12 in said Block 25, thence South 00 9' 10" East a dis-
tance of 60' to the place of beginning in Lake County,
Illinois.
Section 2. The title 44 said vacated portion of the
streets is hereby declared to be vested in the owners of the
land abutting thereon on the effective date of this Ordinance.
