1971 REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTION ORDINANCE
VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE
COUNTIES. - ILLINOIS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, ILLINOIS:
SECTION 1. There shall be a regular municipal election of
officers in the Village on Tuesday, April 20, 1971.
SECTION 2. At such election, there shall be elected:
(a) President - 4 year term
(b) Clerk - 4 year term
(c) 3 Village Trustees - 4 year term each
(d) 1 Village Trustee - 2 year unexpired term of resigned
trustee.
SECTION 3. The ballot to be used in such election shall be
in the form prescribed by statute. It shall be the duty of the
Village Clerk to see to the preparation of sufficient ballots
for the election and cause a sample of such ballot to be published
prior to the day of election in the newspaper of general circulation
within the Village (there being no newspaper published within the
Village). The Clerk shall provide necessary election supplies for
each precinct.
SECTION 4. At least 15 days but not more than 30 days before
the election, the Clerk shall cause to be published in such news-
paper a notice of election, which shall be,,substantially as follows:
NOTICE OF ELECTION
On the 20th day of April, 1971, there will be a regular
municipal election in the Village of Buffalo Grove, Cook
and Lake Counties, Illinois, to elect:
(a) President - 4 year term
(b) Clerk - 4 year term
(c) 3 Village Trustees - 4 year term each
(d).l Village Trustees - 2 year unexpired term of resigned
trustee.
For the purpose of the election, the territory within the
Village is divided into election precincts, the boundaries and
polling places of which shall be as follows:
Precinct 1. All that part of the Village bounded on the
north by the center line of Dundee Road. On the
west up to and including Kingswood Methodist
Church. On the south and east by the Village limits.
Polling Cambridge Condominium Sales Office, Buffalo
Place: Grove, Ill.
Precinct 2. All that part of the Village bounded on the north
by the center line of Bernard Drive. On the west
by the center line of Raupp Blvd. to its inter-
section with the center line of Golfview Terrace;
thence south on the said center line of Golfview
Terrace to its intersection with the center line
of Dundee Road. On the south by the center line of
Dundee Road, east by the Village limits.
Polling Joyce Kilmer School, Golfview Terrace --, Buffalo
Place: Grove, Illinois.
Precinct 3. All that part of the Village bounded on the south
by the center line of Bernard Drive. On the west
by the center line of Raupp Blvd., as though said
center line were extended north to the center line
of Lake Cook Road. On the north by the center line
of Lake Cook Road. On the east by the Village limits.
Polling Emmerich Park Bldg., 150 Raupp Blvd., Buffalo Grove,
Place: Illinois.
Precinct 4. All that part of the Village bounded on the east
by the center line of Raupp Blvd. as though said
center line were extended straight north to the
center line of Lake Cook Road on the south by the
center line of Bernard Drive to its intersection
with Greenwood Court, both sides of Greenwood Court
north, both sides of Cherrywood on the west by a
line extended north from the north end of Greenwood
Court and continuing to and including both sides of
St.Mary's Parkway, beyond its intersection with
Cherrywood to Weidner Road, on the north by the
center line of Lake Cook Road.

Trace) north by the center line of Bernard Drive

Precinct 7. All that part of the Village bounded on the north
by the center line of Lake Cook Road on the east
by a line extended north from the north end of
Greenwood Court to center line of Lake Cook Road
(except that part of St. Mary's Parkway in precinct
4) on the south by the center line of Bernard
Drive, west from its intersection with Greenwood
Court on the west by the Village limits.
Polling Cooper School, 1050 W. Plum Grove Circle,
Place: Buffalo Grove, Illinois.
Precinct 8. All that part of the Village bounded on the south
by the center line of Lake Cook Road, on the east
by the center line of Arlington Heights Road,
on the north by Illinois Route Number 83, on the
east by the Village limits, all in Lake County,.
