1969-007ORDINANCE No. 0 -69 -7 TRAILERS BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, ILLINOIS: Section 1. Definition: "Trailer," "House car trailer," or "Trailer coach" is any structure for or used for, living or sleeping purposes, mounted upon wheels and capable of being transported from place to place, either by its own power or by some vehicle i attached to it. (Herein referred,to as "trailer. ") Section 2. Except as hereinafter set forth, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to have or maintain any trailer within the Village limits for living purposes. Section 3. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to have or maintain a trailer as herein defined without first obtaining a license therefore. Section 4. Application for license shall be made to the Building Commissioner. Application shall be accompanied by a statement showing name and address of licensee,. description of trailer, showing location of trailer, sewer and water facilities and connections, including toilet, bath, wash basins, and other facilities. Section 5. Every trailer shall be connected to electricity, sewer, _:nd water facilities. Every trailer shall be equipped with adequate fire extinguisher in good working order at all times, all heating and cooking apparatus shall be connected to the open air by means of flues, except where heating or cooking element is electricity. Section 6. The connection of utilities to a trailer shall not be construed as converting a trailer into a house or multiple dwelling unit. Section 7. It shall be unlawful to locate a trailer closer than 250 feet from any residential building, except where such building is on the same zoning area for which -the trailer is permitted to be used. Section 8. It shall be unlawful for any person to remove the wheels or other transporting devise from any trailer. Section 9. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to use a trailer for storage facilities. Section 10. Trailer use may be permitted by authority of the President and Board of Trustees for Golf Course use from April 1 through October 31st for the first year of the develop- ment of a golf course. Only one trailer shall be permitted per golf course district and the number of persons occupying said trailer shall be limited to six. Section 11. The Building Commissioner shall cause trailers to be inspected at regular intervals. Trailers shall at all times be kept clean and free from dirt, filth, garbage or other offensive matters and the number of occupants shall be compatible with all health and welfare standards. Section 12. License fee shall be $150.00 per trailer for the period for which issued or any part thereof. Section 13. All trailers shall be removed from the premises at the expiration of the license period. Section 14. Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this Ordinance shall be fined not less than $10.00 or more than $500.00 for each offense.
