WHERVS, the Village has adopted Division 10- 2.1 -26,
Chapter 24, Illinois Revised Statutes 1967, creating a Board
of Police and Fire Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees, desire
to insure selection of responsible persons to serve in the
police department.
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Buffalo Grove, Illinois
SECTION 1. The selection and jurisdiction of all
police personnel (with the exception of the Chief of Police)
shall be vested in the Board of Police and Fire Commissioners,
subject to all of the provisions of Division 10- 2.126, Chapter 24,
Illinois Revised Statutes, 1965.
SECTION 2. The provisions of all ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repeated.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
