ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "VEHICLE LICENSE"
ORDINANCE AS AMENDED
BE IT ORDAINED":BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE,, COOK*fOUNTY, ILLINOIS:

Section 1. Section II of Ordinance No. 0 -58 -24
entitled "Vehicle Licenses" as amended, is hereby amended
to read as follows:
Section II. Every owner or operator of a motor
vehicle residing in the Village or having his
principle place of business in the Village shall
not use or cause or permit any of his agents or
employees to use any motor vehicle upon the public
ways of the Village unless a license is obtained
therefor. The license fees to be paid shall be
as follows
(a) All passenger vehicles, 0700 annually;
0.00 semi - annually.
(b) All trucks, 5500 lbs. or less, empty
weight, $7`:50 annually, $4.00 semi- annually;
all trucks in excess of5500 lbs. empty weight
$15.00 annually; $8,.00 semi - annually.
(c) $1.00 transfer fee and /or lost tag fee.

Fees are due and payable on or before February 1
of each year, except in case of a transfer which
fee shall be due and payable not more than 30 days
after the transfer. All licenses expire December
31. Owners who have not paid license fees for
previous years shall not be entitled to a license
for the year applied for until license fees for
previous years have been paid. Owner or operator
coming in to possession of a vehicle after February 1
shall pay the fee within thirty (30) days after
acquisition. If possession is not acquired until
after July 1 only a semi - annual fee shall be paid
as shown.
Section 2. Section V of Ordinance No.0 -58 -24 entitled
"Vehicle Licenses As Amended" is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section V. Not to exceed 35% of fees collected may
be used by the corporate authorities for the payment
of salaries and wages of policemen engaged in the
duty of regulating traffic.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with this amendment are hereby repealed.

Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
according to law.
