BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, ILLINOIS
Section 1. POLICE FORCE: The Park Commissioners shall be conser-
vators of the peace within and upon the park.
Section 2. ANIMALS: No person shall lead or allow to be loose
upon park property any horse, pony or other animal except by
written permission of the Park Commissioner. Dogs are prohibited
in or upon park property and any dog found on park property
running at large may be impounded.
Section 3. FIREARMS, FIREWORKS AND OTHER MISSILES: No person
shall fire or discharge any gun or pistol or other firearm nor
carry any firearms nor throw or cast any stones or other missiles
upon park property. No person shall carry, discharge or cause to
be exploded any fireworks or other explosive substances upon park
property nor shoot any bow and arrows, air rifle or air pistol,
toss darts or spears except at such places as may be designated or
provided for that purpose.
Section 4. VEHICLES: No person other than authorized employees
of the Park.or other authorized persons shall being or use any
vehicle within the parks except upon such drives, boulevards, or
parking areas established for that purpose.
Section 5. GAMES AND SPORTS: No person shall engage in any sport,
game or amusement in the parks except in such portions thereof as
may be designated by the Park Commissioner and then only under
such rules and regulations as are prescribed. Nor shall any

person walk, loiter, remain or conduct himself upon such portions
of the parks designed for any particular game, sport, or amuse-
ment in such a way as to interfere with the use of such portion
of any parks by persons who are using the same for the particular
sport, game or amusement for which it has been designated.
Section 6. OFFERING ARTICLES FOR SALE: No person shall offer
or exchange for sale any article or thing, or do any hawking,
peddling or soliciting, or buy or offer to buy any article or
thing, or take up any collection or solicit or receive contribu-
tions or money or anything of monetary value in or on any park,
except when authorized to do so by written permit or contract.
Section 7. DUMPING ARTICLES: No person shall deposit, dump,
throw, or place any coal, ashes, dust, manure, papers, or rubbish
of any kind in or upon any part of the parks, except in receptacles
provided for that purpose.
Section 8. PROTECTION OF BIRDS AND ANIMALS: No person shall trap,
catch, wound, or kill, or treat cruelly, or attempt to trap,
catch, wound or kill any bird or animal, or molest or rob any
nest of any bird or animal, in the parks.
Section 9. DAMAGE TO PARK PROPERTY: No person shall damage any
park property.
Section 10. BREACH OF PEACE - DISORDERLEY CONDUCT: No person shall
make or assist in making any loud noise, riot, disturbance,
breach of the peace, or diversion tending to a breach of the
peace, in the parks, or be guilty of any disorderly conduct therein,

or collect with other persons in bodies or crowds, for unlawful
purposes, or for any purpose to the annoyance or obstruction
or disturbance of other persons.
Section 11. FIRES: No person shall light or make use of any
fire in the parks, except such portions thereof as may be
designated for such purpose and then only under such regulations
as are prescribed.
Section 12. IMPROPER SPEECH AND CONDUCT: No person shall use
anyabusive, threatening, insulting, indecent, profane or
obscene language or language calculated to occasion a breach
of the peace, nor be guilty of any indecent act or behavior in
the parks.
Section 13. SLEEPING IN PARKS: No person shall sleep within
any of the properties of the parks between the hours of 10 :00
o'clock P.M. and 6 :00 o'clock A. M., except by special permission.
Section 14. GAMBLING: Gambling is prohibited within the parks.
Section 15. DRUNICENESS - INTOXICATING BEVERAGES: No intoxicated
person or persons shall enter, be, or remain in the parks. No
intoxicating liquors or beverages shall be allowed in the parks.
Section 16. UNLAWFUL ENTRY: No person shall gain or attempt to
gain entrance to any public building, public area, if the
building,area, or place is at that time not open to the public or
is scheduled for a specific group, organization or activity;
nor shall any person not invited or not having paid an admission,
where an admission is charged enter any area, building, or

place which has been rentdd or otherwise reserved for such
purpose. The parks and buildings of the Park shall be closed
to the public from 10 :00 o'clock P.M. until 6 :00 o'clock A.M.
except in cases where persons may have obtained special permis-
sion for using such facilities for later hours.
Section 17. VALIDITY: If any paragraph, sentence or provision
of this Ordinance shall be adjudged by any court of competent
jurisdiction to be invalid, such judb:z,--zt shall not affect the
validity of any other part of this Ordinance.
Section 18. PENALTY: Any person violating any clause of
provision of any section of this Ordinance shall be fined not
less than Five Dollars ($5A0) nor amore than Two Hundred Dollars
($200.00) for each offense upon conviction thereof.
