1960-001ORDINANCE 0 -60 -1 DISORDERLY CONDUCT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, that Seetion 1. All or as s is tri making any i of the peace or diversion the village; all persons crowds for unlawful purpo or disturbance of other p dissolute and go about be any juggling or other unl are found in gaming house lodging in or found at an or lodging in the open ai selves; all persons who village or be engaged in other disturbance in the or stroll about in any pl to obtain money or other fraud on to aid or assist in any fraudulent scheme, other valuable thing in a aid or abet or in anv man 3ersons who shall make, aid,countenmee iproper noise, riot, disturbance, breach tending to a breach of the peace within who shall collect in bodies or in ;es, or for any purpose, to the annoyance arsons; all persons who are idle or aging; all persons who use or exercise iwful games or plays; all persons who s or houses of ill fame, all persons r time in sheds or unoccupied buildings and not giving a good account of them - 3hall wilfully assault another in the )r aid or abet in any fight, quarrel or tillage; all persons who stand, loiter )ce in the village, waiting or seeking raluable thing from others by trick or therein; all persons who shall engage devise or trick to obtain money or iy place in the village, or who shall ier be concerned therein: all touts. ropers, steerers or tappers, so called, for any gambling room or house who shall ply or attempt to ply their calling upon any public street in the village; all persons found loitering about in any hotel, motel, block, gambling house or disorderly house or wandering or driving about the streets or alleys either by night or day with - aut any known lawful means of support, or without being able to give a satisfactory account of themselves; all persons who shall have or carry any pistol, knife, dirk, knuckles, sling shot or other dangerous weapon concealed on or about their person; all persons who are known to be thieves, burglars, pickpockets, robbers, narcotic addicts or confidence men, either by their own confession or otherwise, or by having been convicted of larceny, burgarly or other crime against the laws of the state who are found lounging in or loitering any public or private place within the village and who are unable to give a reasonable excuse for being so found shall be deemed guilty of disorderly conduct. Section 2. PENALTIES. Whenever in this Ordinance any act is prohibit`ec. or is made `or96clared to be unlawful or an,F- offense or whenever in this ordinance the doing of any act is required or the failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful where no specific penalty is provided therefore, the violation of any such provision shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $200.00. Each day any violation of the provisions of this ordinance shall continue shall constitute a separate offense. Any Justice of the Peace, Police Magistrate or any other judge of any court of competent jurisdiction convicting any person under the provisions of this ordinance may send such person to the House of Correction of the City of Chicago or confine such person in the Village jail or place provided therefore. Said person shall be credited for time served in accordance with the Revised Cities & Villages Act. 6 6 Section 3. SEVERABILITY OF THIS ORDINANCE. Should any section, paragraph, clause, phrase or word of this ordinance be declared invalid or unconstitutional it shall not effect the remaining portions of this ordinance. Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law. PASSED this 7th day of January., 1960.
