or driving about the streets or alleys either by night or day with -

a satisfactory account of themselves; all persons who shall have
or carry any pistol, knife, dirk, knuckles, sling shot or other
dangerous weapon concealed on or about their person; all persons
who are known to be thieves, burglars, pickpockets, robbers,
narcotic addicts or confidence men, either by their own confession
or otherwise, or by having been convicted of larceny, burgarly or
other crime against the laws of the state who are found lounging
in or loitering any public or private place within the village
and who are unable to give a reasonable excuse for being so found
shall be deemed guilty of disorderly conduct.
Section 2. PENALTIES. Whenever in this Ordinance any act
is prohibit`ec. or is made `or96clared to be unlawful or an,F- offense
or whenever in this ordinance the doing of any act is required or
the failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful where no
specific penalty is provided therefore, the violation of any such
provision shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $200.00. Each
day any violation of the provisions of this ordinance shall continue
shall constitute a separate offense.
Any Justice of the Peace, Police Magistrate or any other
judge of any court of competent jurisdiction convicting any person
under the provisions of this ordinance may send such person to the
House of Correction of the City of Chicago or confine such person
in the Village jail or place provided therefore. Said person shall
be credited for time served in accordance with the Revised Cities
& Villages Act.

Section 3. SEVERABILITY OF THIS ORDINANCE. Should
any section, paragraph, clause, phrase or word of this ordinance
be declared invalid or unconstitutional it shall not effect
the remaining portions of this ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as
provided by law.
