2000-0102/16/2000 o • ORDINANCE NO. 2000- 10 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING REZONING TO THE OFFICE AND RESEARCH (O &R) DISTRICT, VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS 1001 Johnson Drive, Building No.7, Chevy Chase Business Park WHEREAS, the Village of Buffalo Grove is a Home Rule Unit by virtue of the Illinois Constitution of 1970; and, WHEREAS, the property legally described in Exhibit A ( "Property") hereto is zoned in the Industrial District; and, WHEREAS, Chevy Chase Business Park Limited Partnership, as "Owner" of the Property has petitioned to the Village for rezoning to the Office and Research District; and, WHEREAS, notice of public hearing concerning the rezoning has been given and a public hearing was held by the Village President and Board of Trustees; and, WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees after due and careful consideration have concluded that the rezoning of the Property is appropriate based on the zoning and use of adjacent properties and would enable the Village to control development of the area and would serve the best interests of the Village. 0 0 la NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF BUFFALO GROVE, COOK AND LAKE COUNTIES, ILLINOIS: Section 1. This Ordinance is made pursuant to and in accordance with the Village's Zoning Ordinance and the Village's Home Rule Powers. The preceding whereas clauses are hereby made part of this Ordinance. Section 2. The Corporate Authorities hereby adopt a proper, valid and binding ordinance approving rezoning to the Office and Research District pursuant to the Site Plan by the Jenkins Group dated as received February 9, 2000 and attached hereto as Exhibit B. Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect on and after its passage and approval according to law. This Ordinance shall not be codified. AYES: 6 - Marienthal. Reid, Braiman.
